LOS ANGELES — Actress and activist Amber Afzali is bringing Afghan women’s stories to the spotlight in the new film Rule Breakers, which tells the powerful true story of Afghanistan’s first all-girls robotics team. The film, already gaining buzz, is a tribute to the resilience of young women defying Taliban oppression to pursue education and innovation in STEM.

Afzali, who plays Esin, says her mission goes beyond the screen. “I want to continue showcasing Afghan women in a positive light,” she told Popfuzion Live host Francesca Ellana in a recent interview. As the daughter of Afghan immigrants and a dedicated advocate, Afzali uses her platform to challenge stereotypes and inspire change.

Rule Breakers is not just a film—it’s a movement, shedding light on the strength, intelligence, and determination of Afghan girls who dared to dream.
