Michelle Danner Brings Family, Food, and Chaos to Life in “The Italians”

Michelle Dan­ner, fresh off the suc­cess of Miranda’s Vic­tim, returns with The Ital­ians, a heart­felt com­e­dy explor­ing the highs and lows of fam­i­ly dynam­ics. In this new film, Dan­ner not only directs but stars as fiery matri­arch Angeli­na Vitali, cap­tur­ing the humor, chaos, and deep bonds of an Ital­ian-Amer­i­can fam­i­ly gath­er­ing gone spec­tac­u­lar­ly off the rails.

Set around an unfor­get­table fam­i­ly din­ner, The Ital­ians fea­tures a live­ly ensem­ble cast includ­ing Matthew Dad­dario, Abi­gail Bres­lin, Rob Estes, and Lainie Kazan. The sto­ry blends humor and heartache as rela­tion­ships are test­ed, secrets are revealed, and the impor­tance of for­give­ness and accep­tance comes into focus.

The film, which has already col­lect­ed mul­ti­ple awards on the fes­ti­val cir­cuit, pre­mieres April 10, 2025, on Ama­zon Prime Video, Apple, Google Play, and Vudu.
