This week we spoke with new cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tanya Sam. (Click HERE to listen to our full interview). You may think you only know her from watching the hit reality TV series, however, she is a woman of many talents and her radiant personality cannot be overlooked! She started off in the medical field as a nurse then started to develop a passion for technology. She shared with us, “Nursing is really similar to the tech industry. Your days are jam packed, filled with adrenaline and you don’t get to sleep a lot, so with that nursing really prepared me for entrepreneurship”.

Sam’s fiancé, Paul Judge, a Morehouse graduate is also a business man, so he played a huge role in coaching her and helping her learn how to run a successful business. With this, that’s how she decided to start up Tech Square where she is the Director of Partnerships. The idea behind this business is to see “how can we can help more people of color, more women, more minorities, more people in the greater Atlanta community build successful technology businesses”, says Tanya. It doesn’t stop there, Tanya also played an important role in helping her fiancé in assisting with his cybersecurity business which also gave her a push to learn more and be hands on in the technology business. We love a couple who can work hard and play hard together!

While Tanya is a very busy woman, her big heart and love for people continues to show in her many endeavors. She serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Kate’s Club; an organization supporting children ages 4–18 who have lost a parent or a sibling. They have a clubhouse and a summer program and through recreational, therapeutic play and building the community. They help children get through some of their tougher times in life. Kate’s Club is based in Atlanta, but they are working on expanding into more areas.
